Hunter Hemp Collective at a Glance
Hunter Hemp knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly
through our actions and our initiatives.
We believe working together will help us achieve our vision and goal to set up the infrastructure in Newcastle and The Hunter Valley to grow and process Hemp whilst at the same time creating jobs and the opportunities to become resilient and fully self sustainable in our region against rising global insecurity.
Our intention is to give Farmers and other members of our community interested in Hemp as a resilient self sustainable Industry, a unified way forward.
Ways We Help
Meaningful Work, Resilient & Self Sustainable Future
The Hunter Hemp Collective is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.
Our Vision
Working together for the benefit of all Australians
Our Vision and intention is to establish an independent, resilient, self-sustainable, localised infrastructure to grow and process Hemp for food, medicine, housing, biodegradable plastics, paper, fibre, fabric, agriculture, and much much more.
Traditionally industrial hemp has been used in items such as textiles, paper, rope, fuel, oil, and stock feed. Other more recent applications for industrial hemp fibre include, composite building materials, plastic, oil and chemical absorption materials, animal bedding, kitty litter, batteries, and even motor vehicle parts.
AFFILIATES
For us to achieve our goal of being fully self-sustainable in our region we believe that it is essential to unify and work together with other organisations that have already forged a path in growing Hemp and benefiting from the multitude of products the Hemp Plant can produce.

Australian Industrial Hemp Association
These are some wonderful examples of leaders in the industry and a great source of information in regards to the history and potential of Hemp, the world's most useful plant.
We also find it beneficial to follow the examples of the progression of Hemp in other countries such as Chile, China, Iran, Japan, South and North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, Turkey, New Zealand, India, Egypt, South Africa, Thailand, Malawi, and Uruguay.
